USDA: U.S. soybean harvest 80% complete, higher than market expectations

Washington, October 25 news: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly national crop progress report showed that the U.S. soybean harvest progressed beyond market expectations.

In the 18 states that account for 96% of the country’s soybean planting area, as of October 23 (Sunday), the US soybean harvest progress was 80%, 63% last week, 71% last year, and the five-year average for the same period was 67%.

Analysts on average had expected the soybean harvest to be 77 percent ahead of the report.
