USDA: U.S. shipped about 2.08 million tons of soybeans to China last week

Washington, October 31st news: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export inspection report showed that the number of soybeans shipped by the United States to China (mainland) last week decreased slightly, 4.5% less than the previous week.

For the week ending October 27, 2022, the U.S. shipped 2,076,606 tons of soybeans to China (mainland), compared with 2,174,172 tons the week before.

The US soybean export inspection volume to China accounted for 80.7% of the total export inspection volume for the week, compared with 75.3% last week and 71.7% two weeks ago.

In its October 2022 supply and demand report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that China’s soybean imports in 22022/23 would be 98 million tons, up 1 million tons from September and 8.89% higher than the 90 million tons in 2021/22.
