USDA: U.S. shipped 300,000 tons of soybeans to China last week
Washington, April 18 News: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export inspection report showed that the number of soybeans shipped by the United States to China (mainland) last week decreased by 29.1% from a week earlier.
For the week ending April 14, 2022, the U.S. shipped 301,008 tons of soybeans to China (mainland). The U.S. shipped 424,449 tons of soybeans to China (mainland) the previous week.
The US soybean export inspection volume to China accounted for 31.0% of the total export inspection volume for the week, compared with 57.6% last week and 47.2% two weeks ago.
In the April 2022 supply and demand report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that China’s soybean imports in 2021/22 are expected to be 91 million tons, which is lower than the 94 million tons forecast in March and 8.78% lower than the 99.76 million tons in 2021/22.
