USDA: U.S. shipped 150,000 tons of soybeans to China last week

Washington, September 19 News: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export inspection report showed that the number of soybeans shipped by the United States to China (mainland) last week was slightly higher than the previous week.

For the week ending September 15, 2022, the U.S. shipped 149,393 tons of soybeans to China (mainland), compared with 146,281 tons the week before.

U.S. soybean export inspections to China accounted for 28.8% of the week’s total export inspections, compared with 44.4% last week and 56.6% two weeks ago.

In its September 2022 supply and demand report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that China’s soybean imports in 22022/23 would be 97 million tons, down 1 million tons from August and 7.78% higher than the 90 million tons in 2021/22.
