USDA: U.S. shipped 1.26 million tons of soybeans to China last week
Washington, January 18 News: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export inspection report showed that the number of soybeans shipped by the United States to China (mainland) last week increased by 119.0% from the previous week.
For the week ending January 13, 2022, the U.S. shipped 1,263,724 tons of soybeans to China (mainland). The U.S. shipped 577,186 tons of soybeans to China (mainland) the previous week.
U.S. soybean export inspections to China accounted for 73.5% of the week’s total export inspections, compared with 63.8% last week and 62.8% two weeks ago.
In the January 2022 supply and demand report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that China’s soybean imports in 2021/22 are expected to be 100 million tons, which is unchanged from the December forecast and an increase of 0.24% year-on-year.
