U.S. soybean crush profit in week 33 of 2022 down 4.2% from previous week

WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 News: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly crush report released on Monday showed that U.S. soybean crush profits fell 4.2% last week from a week earlier.

For the week ended August 19, 2022, U.S. soybean crush profit was $5.30 per bushel, compared with $5.53 per bushel a week earlier.

Illinois edamame trucks were quoted at 71.45 cents a pound, or $8.43 a bushel, compared with 73.21 cents a week ago, or $8.64 a bushel.

Spot prices for 48% protein soybean meal at Illinois soybean mills were $512.05 a short ton, or $11.91 a bushel; $533.2 a week ago, or $12.40 a bushel.

During the same period, the average price of No. 1 yellow soybean was $15.04/bu, compared with $15.51/bu a week ago.
