U.S. soybean crush profit in the 48th week of 2021 is 110% higher than the same period last year
Washington, December 12: According to the weekly press report released by the US Department of Agriculture, the US soybean crush profit in the past week decreased by 1.67% a week ago and increased by 109.5% over the same period last year.
For the week ending December 9, 2021, the US soybean crush profit was US$3.54 per pu, compared with US$3.60/pu a week ago and US$1.69/pu in the same period last year.
Edamame oil trucks in central Illinois were quoted at 66.07 cents per pound, compared with 64.61 cents/lb a week ago and 39.06 cents/lb in the same period last year.
The 48% protein soybean meal spot price of soybean processing plants in central Illinois was US$364.80 per short ton, compared to US$355.80/short ton a week ago and US$375.20/short ton in the same period last year.
In the same period, the price of No. 1 soybeans was 12.80 US dollars/bus, compared with 12.35 US dollars/bus a week ago and 11.67 US dollars/bus in the same period last year.
