——Total sales to China decreased by 14.9% year-on-year
Washington, July 10 News: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export sales report showed that the total U.S. soybean export sales to China (mainland) decreased by 14.9% year-on-year, compared with a year-on-year decrease of 14.7% in the previous week.
As of June 30, 2022, the 2021/22 (starting on September 1) soybean export shipments from the United States to China (mainland) were 28.69 million tons, compared with 35.04 million tons in the same period last year.
The United States shipped about 74,000 tons of soybeans to China that week, and 94,000 tons of soybeans to China the previous week.
U.S. soybean sales to China in 2021/22 have so far been 1.8 million tonnes but not shipped, up from 790,000 tonnes a year earlier.
So far in 2021/22, total U.S. soybean sales to China (shipped and unloaded) are 30.49 million tons, down 14.9% year-on-year, compared with last week’s 14.7% year-on-year decrease and a 14.7% year-on-year decrease two weeks ago. %.
U.S. soybean sales to China in 2022/23 were 7.77 million tons, unchanged from a week ago.
In the June 2022 supply and demand report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that China’s soybean imports in 2021/22 are expected to be 92 million tons, which is the same as the forecast value in May and 7.8% lower than the 99.76 million tons in 2021/22. Soybean imports in 2022/23 are at 99 million tonnes, unchanged from the previous forecast.
