The latest statistics on US soybean exports to China: 410,000 tons of soybeans were shipped to China last week

WASHINGTON, March 3: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export sales report showed that total U.S. soybean export sales to China (mainland) decreased by 26.6% year-on-year, compared with a year-on-year decrease of 26.7% in the previous week.

As of February 24, 2022, the 2021/22 (starting on September 1) soybean export shipments from the United States to China (mainland) were 24.95 million tons, compared with 34.4 million tons in the same period last year.

The United States shipped 401,000 tons of soybeans to China that week, and 393,000 tons of soybeans to China the previous week.

The amount of 2021/22 soybeans sold but not shipped by the U.S. to China so far is 1.24 million tons, down from 1.28 million tons in the same period last year.

So far in 2021/22, total U.S. soybean sales to China (shipped and unloaded) are 26.19 million tons, down 26.6% year-on-year. %.

U.S. soybean sales to China in 2022/23 were 4.436 million tons, 1.26 million tons higher than a week earlier.

In its February 2022 supply and demand report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated that China’s soybean imports in 2021/22 are expected to be 97 million tons, lower than the 100 million tons forecast in January and a 2.77% decrease from the previous year’s 99.76 million tons.
