Total sales to China decreased by 27.5% year-on-year
Washington, December 23 news: The weekly export sales report of the US Department of Agriculture shows that the total soybean export sales of the United States to China (mainland) decreased by 27.5% year-on-year, and the previous week was a year-on-year decrease of 28.8%.
As of December 16, 2021, the soybean export shipments from the United States to China (Mainland China) in the 2021/22 fiscal year (starting on September 1) were 1,768 tons, compared with 24.63 million tons in the same period last year.
The United States shipped 1.05 million tons of soybeans to China that week, and 1.04 million tons of soybeans to China the previous week.
So far, the number of soybeans sold by the United States to China but not shipped is 5.32 million tons, which is lower than 7.09 million tons in the same period last year.
So far in the year of 2021/22, the total sales of soybeans from the United States to China (sales that have been shipped and not yet shipped) are 23 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 27.5%. Last week, it was a year-on-year decrease of 28.8%, and two weeks ago, a year-on-year decrease of 29.9. %.
The US Department of Agriculture’s December 2021 supply and demand report predicts that China’s soybean imports in 2021/22 are expected to be 100 million tons, which is the same as the November forecast, which is an increase of 0.24% from the previous year’s 99.76 million tons.
