Survey: Analysts see Brazil’s soybean production at 148 million tons in 2022/23
BEIJING, June 29 (Reuters) – Analysts on average expect Brazil’s soybean production in 2022/23 to hit a record 148 million tons, as plantings are expected to rise and yields are expected to recover, a survey showed. Dry weather in Brazil this year has reduced soybean yields.
Analysts expect Brazil’s soybean acreage to reach 42.2 million hectares in 2022/23, an increase of nearly 3 percent year-on-year.
Brazilian farmers will start planting soybeans in September.
