Private U.S. EXPORTERS ON Thursday REPORTED SALES OF ABOUT 330,000 TONS OF SOYBEANS TO China AND UNKNOWN DESTINATIONS
Washington, Oct 20 – Private exporters reported sales of 333,000 metric tons of soybeans to China and unknown destinations for delivery in 2022/23, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s one-day export sales report released on Thursday. Of these, 201,000 tons were sold to China and 132,000 tons to unknown destinations.
Private exporters reported sales of 526,000 tons to China last Wednesday, 264,000 tons to China last Thursday and 242,000 tons to unknown destinations, the USDA said. Last Friday reported sales of 392,000 tonnes to China and 198,000 tonnes to unknown destinations, both for delivery in 2022/23.
The U.S. soybean year begins on September 1.
The USDA publishes weekly export sales reports on a weekly basis, in addition to a daily export sales report. Exporters are required to report to USDA by 3 p.m. Est on the second business day any sales activity of a single commodity of 100,000 tons or more on a single business day, or sales of 200,000 tons or more during the reporting period. If the quantity is below the above requirements, report once a week.
