Farmers in Brazil’s top soybean-producing state have pre-sold 20% of 2022/23 soybeans
Foreign media April 12: Brazil’s top soybean producing region, Mato Grosso state’s Institute of Agricultural Economics (IMEA), said farmers in the state have pre-sold 20% of the 2022/23 soybeans, higher than in mid-March 4%, down from 25% a year earlier, but above the historical average of 14%.
Farmers in the state also sold 68 percent of their 2021/22 soybeans, up 6.5 percent from mid-March but below the historical average of 72 percent.
In addition, farmers sold 54.5% of their 2021/22 corn, below the historical average of 59%. The 2022/23 corn pre-sale ratio is 8.6%.
