CONAB: Brazil soybean production raised to 125.55 million tons in 2021/22
Foreign media, September 8 news: Brazil’s national commodity supply company (CONAB) released its monthly report on Thursday, predicting Brazil’s 2021/22 soybean production at 125.55 million tons, higher than the 124.05 million tons forecast in August, but more than 2020/21 The year’s all-time high is still 9.9% lower.
According to CONAB, the increase in acreage has kept yields from falling sharply. Soybean production in the state of Rio Grande do Sul fell by more than 50% year-on-year due to high temperatures and lack of rain in southern Brazil.
CONAB raised its forecast for soybean exports in 2022 to 77.19 million tons, up from 75.23 million tons forecast last month, but below the previous record of more than 86 million tons in 2021.
