Foreign media, May 24: Brazil’s 2021/22 soybean crop harvest progressed to 98.1 percent as of May 21, up from 96.8 percent a week earlier, according to data released by Brazil’s National Commodities Supply Corporation (CONAB) on Tuesday. The harvest progress for the same period was 99.0%.
The monthly report released by CONAB on May 12 said that Brazil’s soybean production in 2021/22 will reach 123.83 million tons, 1.1% higher than the April forecast, but still 10.4% lower than the 2020/21 production due to the end of last year. Drought by the beginning of the year reduced crop yields in key producing areas.
