China bought about 1.17 million tons of soybeans from the U.S. in the week ended April 14
WASHINGTON, April 21: The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s weekly export sales report showed that the United States sold 1,165,400 tons of soybeans to China (mainland) in the week ended April 14, of which 496,400 tons of soybeans were sold in the 2021/22 season. On delivery, 669,000 tonnes will be delivered in 2022/23. For comparison, the U.S. sold about 700,000 tons of soybeans to China the previous week, with 436,000 tons for delivery in 2021/22 and 267,000 tons for delivery in 2022/23.
Looking at the sales of other grains, China bought 1.0152 million tons of U.S. corn (of which 675,200 tons will be delivered in 2021/22 and 340,000 tons will be delivered next year) and 11,400 tons of U.S. sorghum. The U.S. shipped 402,000 tons of corn and 294,000 tons of soybeans to China that week.
