Barchart raises U.S. soybean production and yield forecasts
Foreign media August 4 news: Data and technology services provider Barchart released its August report, raising its forecast for U.S. soybean production and yields.
Barchart expects U.S. soybean production to be 4.6 billion bushels this year, up from 4.4 billion bushels forecast in June. Yields are forecast at 51.4 bushels per acre, up from the June forecast of 49.5 bushels per acre.
For comparison, the USDA estimates soybean production at 4.5 billion bushels, with an average yield of 51.5 bushels per acre.
