BAGE: As of December 8, 56.1% of soybean planting in Argentina has been completed
Foreign media news on December 12: The weekly report released by the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BAGE) stated that as of the week of December 8, 2021, the soybean planting progress in Argentina in 2021/2 year was 56.1%. This is an increase of 9.8 percentage points from 46.3% a week ago and 1% lower than the same period last year.
The exchange estimates that the planting area of soybeans in Argentina this year is 16.5 million hectares, which is lower than the 16.9 million hectares in 2020/21, because the income from corn planting in Argentina is higher.
The exchange estimates that the country’s soybean production in 2021/2022 will be 44 million tons, higher than the previous year’s 43.1 million tons.
Soybean planting in Argentina began at the end of October, and planting in full swing next month. Soybean harvest will start in March next year and end in May.
