BAGE: Argentina soybean harvest 14.4% complete as of April 13
Foreign media, April 17 news: The weekly report released by the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BAGE) said that in the week ended April 13, 2022, Argentina’s 2021/22 soybean harvest was 14.4%, higher than The average yield was 3.14 tons per hectare from 8.8% a week ago, up from 3.115 tons per hectare a week ago.
The exchange currently continues to forecast soybean production in 2021/2022 at 42 million tonnes, down from 43.1 million tonnes in the previous year.
On April 8, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimated Argentina’s soybean production at 43.5 million tons, unchanged from last month’s forecast and lower than the previous year’s 46.2 million tons.
Argentine soybean plantings this season are at 16.3 million hectares, down from 16.9 million hectares in 2020/21, as Argentina is more profitable from growing corn.
Argentine soybean planting began at the end of October, and harvesting began in March and ended in May.
