As of September 18, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were around 2.5 million tonnes

Foreign media news on September 25: EU data show that between July 1 and September 18, 2022, the 2022/23 (starting on July 1) soybean import volume of the 27 EU countries was about 2.495 million tons, This is down from 2.919 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.34 million tons (accounting for 53.6%), and the United States supplied 840,000 tons (33.7%).

The import volume of rapeseed was about 1.302 million tons, compared with 1.023 million tons in the same period last year; of which Ukraine supplied 646,000 tons (49.6%) and Australia supplied 546,000 tons (42.0%).

The import volume of soybean meal was about 3.454 million tons, compared with 3.525 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.939 million tons (56.1%) and Argentina supplied 1.176 million tons (34.0%).

The import volume of sunflower oil was 399,000 tons, compared with 315,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 324,000 tons (90.1%).

The import volume of palm oil was about 766,000 tons, compared with 1.332 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 235,000 tons (30.6%), Malaysia supplied 186,000 tons (24.2%), and Guatemala supplied 162,000 tons (21.1% share).
