As of October 30, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were around 3.66 million tonnes
Foreign media news on November 6: EU data show that between July 1 and October 30, 2022, the 2022/23 (starting on July 1) soybean import volume of the 27 EU countries was about 3.66 million tons, This is down from 4.09 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.67 million tons (accounting for 45.7%), and the United States supplied 1.42 million tons (38.9%).
The import volume of rapeseed was about 2.28 million tons, compared with 1.71 million tons in the same period last year; of which Ukraine supplied 1.44 million tons (63.2%) and Australia supplied 660,000 tons (28.7%).
The import volume of soybean meal was about 5.34 million tons, compared with 5.41 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 2.9 million tons (54.2%) and Argentina supplied 1.89 million tons (35.4%).
Sunflower oil imports were 560,000 tons, compared with 550,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 490,000 tons (88.2%).
The import volume of palm oil is about 1.16 million tons, compared with 1.85 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 400,000 tons (34.7%), Malaysia 240,000 tons (20.9%), and Guatemala 230,000 tons (20.1% share).
