As of October 23, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were around 3.5 million tonnes
Foreign media, October 30 news: EU data show that between July 1, 2022 and October 23, the 2022/23 year (starting on July 1) soybean imports by the 27 EU countries were about 3.5 million tons, This is down from 3.92 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.66 million tons (accounting for 47.5%), and the United States supplied 1.3 million tons (37.1%).
The import volume of rapeseed was about 2.21 million tons, compared with 1.52 million tons in the same period last year; of which Ukraine supplied 1.38 million tons (62.3%) and Australia supplied 660,000 tons (29.6%).
The import volume of soybean meal was about 4.94 million tons, compared with 5.17 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 2.7 million tons (54.7%) and Argentina supplied 1.74 million tons (35.3%).
The import volume of sunflower oil was 520,000 tons, compared with 480,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 460,000 tons (88.0%).
The import volume of palm oil is about 1.08 million tons, compared with 1.84 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 350,000 tons (32.6%), Malaysia 230,000 tons (21.0%), and Guatemala 220,000 tons (20.6% share).
