As of October 2, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were around 2.9 million tonnes
Foreign media, October 9 news: EU data show that between July 1 and October 2, 2022, the 2022/23 (starting on July 1) soybean import volume of the 27 EU countries was about 2.896 million tons, Down from 3.233 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.54 million tons (accounting for 53.1%), and the United States supplied 980,000 tons (33.7%).
The import volume of rapeseed was about 1.652 million tons, compared with 1.177 million tons in the same period last year; of which Ukraine supplied 941,000 tons (57.0%) and Australia supplied 597,000 tons (36.2%).
The import volume of soybean meal was about 3.887 million tons, compared with 4.153 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 2.143 million tons (55.1%) and Argentina supplied 1.357 million tons (34.9%).
The import volume of sunflower oil was 416,000 tons, compared with 378,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 373,000 tons (89.6%).
The import volume of palm oil was about 857,000 tons, compared with 1.558 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 284,000 tons (33.1%), Malaysia supplied 194,000 tons (22.6%), and Guatemala supplied 163,000 tons (19.0% share).
