As of October 16, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were around 3.3 million tonnes

Foreign media news on October 23: EU data show that between July 1 and October 16, 2022, the 2022/23 (starting on July 1) soybean import volume of the 27 EU countries was about 3.29 million tons, Down from 3.646 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.618 million tons (accounting for 49.2%), and the United States supplied 1.156 million tons (35.1%).

The import volume of rapeseed was about 1.994 million tons, compared with 1.388 million tons in the same period last year; of which Ukraine supplied 1.224 million tons (61.4%) and Australia supplied 645,000 tons (32.3%).

The import volume of soybean meal was about 4.56 million tons, compared with 4.952 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 2.540 million tons (55.7%) and Argentina supplied 1.590 million tons (34.9%).

The import volume of sunflower oil was 481,000 tons, compared with 412,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 430,000 tons (89.4%).

The import volume of palm oil was about 1.040 million tons, compared with 1.756 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 335,000 tons (32.2%), Malaysia 220,000 tons (21.2%), and Guatemala 217,000 tons (20.8% share).
