As of November 20, the EU’s soybean imports in 2022/23 were about 4.2 million tons
Foreign media news on November 27: EU data show that during the period from July 1 to November 20, 2022, the soybean import volume of 27 EU countries in 2022/23 (starting on July 1) is about 4.16 million tons. That was down from 4.85 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 1.67 million tons (40.2%), and the United States supplied 1.71 million tons (41.2%).
Rapeseed imports were about 2.85 million tons, compared with 2 million tons in the same period last year; among them, Ukraine supplied 1.9 million tons (66.6%) and Australia supplied 730,000 tons (25.6%).
The import volume of soybean meal was about 6.32 million tons, which was 6.32 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 3.39 million tons (53.7%) and Argentina supplied 2.25 million tons (35.6%).
The import volume of sunflower oil was 720,000 tons, compared with 670,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 640,000 tons (89.3%).
The import volume of palm oil was about 1.36 million tons, compared with 2.25 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 480,000 tons (35.1%), Malaysia 280,000 tons (20.2%), and Guatemala 260,000 tons (18.8%).
