As of December 18, the EU’s soybean imports in 2022/23 were about 5.06 million tons
Foreign media news on December 25: According to EU data, during the period from July 1 to December 18, 2022, the soybean import volume of 27 EU countries in 2022/23 (starting on July 1) is about 5.06 million tons. This was lower than the 6.08 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, the United States supplied 2.25 million tons (44.4%), and Brazil supplied 1.73 million tons (accounting for 34.1%).
Rapeseed imports were about 3.27 million tons, compared with 2.33 million tons in the same period last year; among them, Ukraine supplied 2.21 million tons (67.7%) and Australia supplied 800,000 tons (24.4%).
The import volume of soybean meal was about 7.36 million tons, compared with 7.47 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 3.96 million tons (53.9%) and Argentina supplied 2.62 million tons (35.6%).
The import volume of sunflower oil was 890,000 tons, compared with 810,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 790,000 tons (89.3%).
The import volume of palm oil was about 1.6 million tons, compared with 2.69 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 560,000 tons (34.6%), Malaysia 330,000 tons (20.7%), and Guatemala 300,000 tons (18.6%).
