As of December 11, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were about 4.9 million tons
Foreign media news on December 17: According to EU data, during the period from July 1 to December 11, 2022, the soybean import volume of 27 EU countries in 2022/23 (starting on July 1) is about 4.86 million tons. That was down from 5.81 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, the United States supplied 2.11 million tons (43.5%), and Brazil supplied 1.67 million tons (accounting for 35.6%).
Rapeseed imports were about 3.15 million tons, compared with 2.3 million tons in the same period last year; among them, Ukraine supplied 2.15 million tons (68.4%) and Australia supplied 740,000 tons (23.4%).
The import volume of soybean meal was about 7.11 million tons, compared with 7.13 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 3.78 million tons (53.1%) and Argentina supplied 2.57 million tons (36.1%).
The import volume of sunflower oil was 840,000 tons, compared with 770,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 750,000 tons (89.2%).
The import volume of palm oil was about 1.52 million tons, compared with 2.53 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Indonesia supplied 540,000 tons (35.6%), Malaysia 320,000 tons (20.8%), and Guatemala 270,000 tons (18.1%).
