As of August 7, EU soybean imports in 2022/23 were around 1.35 million tonnes

Foreign media news on August 14: EU data shows that between July 1 and August 7, 2022, the 2022/23 year (starting on July 1) soybean imports by the 27 EU countries were about 1.347 million tons, Down from 1.543 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 850,000 tons (accounting for 63.2%), and the United States supplied 354,000 tons (26.3%).

The import volume of rapeseed was about 629,000 tons, compared with 418,000 tons in the same period last year; of which Australia supplied 486,000 tons (77.4% share), and Ukraine supplied 73,000 tons (11.7%).

The import volume of soybean meal was about 1.422 million tons, compared with 1.432 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, Brazil supplied 797,000 tons (56.1%), and Argentina supplied 456,000 tons (32.1%).

The import volume of sunflower oil was 156,000 tons, compared with 147,000 tons in the same period last year, of which Ukraine supplied 144,000 tons (92.6%).

The import volume of palm oil was about 265,000 tons, compared with 567,000 tons in the same period last year. Among them, Guatemala supplied 78,000 tons (29.5% share), Indonesia supplied 73,000 tons (27.6%), and Malaysia supplied 68,000 tons (25.8%).
