Foreign media, January 26: Brazil’s National Association of Grain Exporters (ANEC) said soybean exports in January 2022 will reach 3.395 million tons, down from 4.32 million tons forecast a week ago, but still well above 2021 Exports in January were 53,644 tonnes.
Brazil’s soybean exports in December 2021 were 2.53 million tons.
Between January 16 and 22, Brazil exported 436,592 tons of soybeans. ANEC forecast soybean exports for the Jan. 23-29 period at 1.23 million tonnes.
Brazil’s soybean exports reached a record 86.628 million tonnes in 2021, up from 82.3 million tonnes in 2020, ANEC data showed. The previous record for Brazil’s soybean exports was 83.78 million tons in 2018, the data showed.
Brazil’s 2020/21 soybean production reached a record 137.1 million tons, helping exports to increase by 6% year-on-year.
